Our Commitment

Every Root & Rivet Director's Chair is individually crafted and inspected with care. Our 12-Month Craftsmanship Guarantee reflects our commitment to the quality of the workmanship and materials used in your chair.

What Is Covered

For 12 months from the date of purchase, Root & Rivet will address defects arising from manufacturing or workmanship, subject to the terms of this document.

What We Will Do

Where a manufacturing or workmanship defect is confirmed, Root & Rivet may, as appropriate:

• Repair the affected component;
• Replace the affected component;
• Replace the product where appropriate; or
• Provide another appropriate remedy available under the applicable terms.

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and extent of the confirmed defect.

Natural Materials & Character

Timber, genuine leather and canvas are natural materials. Variations in grain, colour, texture, knots, natural markings, softening, patina and other characteristics are part of each material's individual character. These natural variations are not considered manufacturing defects.

Making a Claim

Please contact Root & Rivet as soon as a suspected defect is identified.

To assist us in assessing your claim, please provide:

• Proof of purchase or invoice;
• The chair's serial number, where applicable;
• A description of the issue; and
• Clear photographs or video where these assist with assessment.

Root & Rivet may inspect the product before determining the appropriate remedy.

Care of Your Chair

Proper care helps preserve the appearance, performance and longevity of your chair. Please keep your Root & Rivet Customer Care & Product Guide with your product and follow the recommended cleaning, storage, handling and care instructions.

Maximum Recommended User Weight: 120 kg

Root & Rivet Director's Chairs are designed for normal seated use by one person up to a maximum recommended user weight of 120 kg.

The chair must not be used as a:

• Step;
• Ladder;
• Standing platform; or
• Work platform.

Do not exceed the stated maximum recommended user weight.

What Is Not Covered

This Craftsmanship Guarantee does not cover damage resulting from:

• Normal wear and tear arising from ordinary use.
• Accidental damage, misuse, abuse or negligence.
• Use outside the chair's intended purpose.
• Standing on the chair, overloading or using the chair as a ladder or work platform.
• Unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications.
• Replacement of components with unsuitable or unauthorised components.
• Failure to follow the Root & Rivet Customer Care & Product Guide.
• Prolonged exposure to rain, moisture, excessive humidity or direct sunlight.
• Unsuitable outdoor storage or prolonged outdoor exposure.
• Improper cleaning, harsh chemicals, solvents, abrasive products or excessive water.
• Damage caused during transport or handling after delivery where transport was arranged by the customer or a third party.
